Karma Yoga

Karma Yoga is a form of yoga that teaches us to perform an action without desiring their fruit in return. In this form, a yogi prioritizes his duty as a divine action and performs it wholeheartedly; while shunning away all desires. It is the yoga of action, which focuses on realizing the results of our work as a spiritual offering. It eliminates the possibility of hoarding the results and leads us to the path of liberation. In order to view our actions in a different light, it is important that we detach ourselves from our actions. Spiritual release and freedom are the results of cultivating the spirit of karma yoga.

Karma yoga can be practiced by having the right attitude, being righteous, having the right motives and doing our duties to the best of our ability. Practicing Karma yoga helps in the development of new skills, aids in personality growth, helps achieve purification of the soul, makes the mind more flexible and tolerant, and eliminates prejudices.
