Arunachal Pradesh

The Mon region nestled in the state of Arunachal Pradesh considers Sowa-Rigpa a crucial part of their culture and prefers Sowa-Rigpa treatment over modern medicine. In the past, there was a constant incursion of sMenpas from Tibet. However, at present, there are some local Amchis and the branch of Men-tsee-Khang in Dharamsala; which was established to provide healthcare services to the locals in Tawang. Apart from these, there isn’t any establishment that can fulfill the minimum healthcare requirements of the people. The Amchis have to visit various remote villages but are unable to pay regular visits. As a result, because of the shortage of Amchis and the lack of good transportation facilities. the people who are in desperate need of healthcare are the ones who suffer.
