What is Ayurveda?

Ayurveda is formed from two words, Ayuh and Veda, where Ayuh means life and Veda means knowledge or Science. Thus, Ayurveda is a science of life and is the most traditional approach of healing which bridges a healthy balance between body, mind, or soul. All the things that subsist in the universe, living as well as non living things, are linked together, which implies that we, as a human race, having a profound connection with nature. Ayurveda aims to bring evolution by the means of healthy or natural healing and create a great harmony in the mechanism of the human body. By providing the sense of possible onset of disease much prior to the dormant symptoms, Ayurveda also attempts to make people aware of appropriate and effective steps which stimulate the progress of holistic growth.
