What is Sowa-Rigpa?

Sowa-Rigpa which is one of the seven Ayush systems, is one of the oldest and well documented systems of traditional medicine in the world. The term ‘Sowa-Rigpa’ is derived from the Bhoti language which means ‘Knowledge of Healing’.  Believed to have originated in India from Bhagwan Buddha, it is one of the significant healthcare systems practised in India predominantly in Himalayan regions.
